I would like to express my appreciation for the fantastic job STL-HD Construction did on our shower stall renovation.  It involved a couple weeks of demolition, floor drain replacement and marble tile work. Heavy glass shower doors had to be carefully removed, and were able to be re-used. Art was one of 3 contractors who provided a bid, and there was no question he was the best guy for the job.  He was polite, articulate, honest, knowledgeable, and gave great detail about how he and his crew would approach the job.  No pressure, no big sales pitch, just a competent contractor who obviously had a lot of experience with various projects in people’s homes. He emailed a professional line-item bid by the end of the day. It gave a timeline for the work, and breakdown of payments. Work began within one month. We braced ourselves for being without a functional master bathroom for a few weeks. During that time, the entire room was neatly sealed off in protective plastic so construction dust didn’t get into anything else. Before work began, floors and carpets were also covered with plastic from the front door, up the stairs, through the bedroom and into the bathroom so workers didn’t track debris through the house. Each phase of work was planned out and there were no delays or excuses. Everyone who worked on the job was respectful of our home and privacy, and the job site was left clean at the end of each day. Art stayed in constant contact with updates on who would be coming the next day and at what time. And he also responded to texts immediately. But most importantly, the shower stall itself turned out beautifully. The work even exceeded expectations. Art’s pricing was fair and competitive, and his work ethic is most impressive.  Thanks, Art and crew, for a job well done!
